Doreen Khumalo, BSc.
President

Doreen Khumalo has been with HFM since its inception in 2005.  She brings over 10 years of senior corporate management experience.  She is passionate about seeing Zimbabwe revive as a country in general, and revamping the health care delivery system in particular.  Doreen attained her BSc. in Business Administration from the University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande, OH in 1994. Her vision for the Mtshabezi area is to have a vibrant, sustainable source of health care for the community.  She believes no human should lose their life from a lack of antibiotics, in today’s world. She currently lives in the Colorado area with her family.

Lindani Sibanda RN., MSN., FNP.
Founder / VP of Finance

Hlengiwe Lindani Mlotshwa- Sibanda works as a nurse practitioner serving the healthcare needs of the underserved in California. She founded the non-profit organization:  Nursing Charity Organization for the Philippines and Zimbabwe Inc. (NCOPZ) and its affiliate, Hope for Mtshabezi (HFM) in 2005.

Mrs. Sibanda’s empathy toward the people of Mtshabezi arises from her own personal history in Zimbabwe.  Upon graduating as a young teacher, she taught for six months before political upheaval in that part of the world drove her and thousands of Zimbabweans into refugee camps.  This is where she experienced living in fear for one’s life, dependency on charity for food, clothing, shelter and healthcare for a period of nearly 2 years. It was during this time that she qualified for an academic scholarship to study in the United States of America.

Mrs. Sibanda spent 23 years of her life working as a Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology nurse before she became a nurse practitioner.   Her dream is for Hope For Mtshabezi to give God the glory by providing affordable health care to the people of Zimbabwe.  She currently lives in California with her family.
